It’s a cashmere wrap: top trends from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

Bold glamour, sequins and ethereal femininity were on show at this season’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
This Spring/Summer 2017, we will see a return to old-fashioned glamour, with metallic gowns with nipped-in waists, glittering sequins adorning long-line tailored frocks, and fluid, elegant silks.

There was a touch of the feminine on the runways this May, with layers of Marie-Antoinette inspired ruffles on soft, muted tones.

White on white is always an essential look for summer, with midriff cut-outs continuing to show a subtle flash of skin, while longer hemlines will give the legs reprieve this season.
Daywear takes on a sophisticated slouch, with elegant tailoring and luxurious fabrics contrasting the casual vibe, resulting in effortless, comfortable style.

Dressing for sunset cocktails has never been easier, with bold sunset hues of yellow, orange and red being key looks.

Light, summer-weight cashmere is also a key trend, draped street-style in easy-to-wear unisex pieces.
For the men, the fashion lines will blur in the season ahead, with streetwear being blended with workwear and traditional mixed with contemporary. The look will be considered but casual.
